Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor –Site support. It will be a FIFO, on 8/6 Roster, this permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. Reporting to the Roy Hill Account Manager, you will work as part of a team and drive the reliability and availability of the mobile fleet on site, while keeping an impeccable safety record.

You will also:

  • Partake in the coordination and supervision of the implementation of Hitachi projects, shut downs, planned maintenance and day to day activities of Hitachi Site Support Technicians
  • Work closely with the customer to maintain machine performance.
  • Actively ensure safety improvements are driven and document the key learnings
  • Supervise and mentor the technicians with their work and activities
  • Provide Supervision for onsite shuts / projects / annual leave and workshop supervision as required
  • Drive change and implement safety procedures, quality control measures and SWP improvements
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve, performance, equipment reliability and lower maintenance costs.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant Diesel/Mobile Plant Mechanic or HV Electrical trade qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory Role with front line operational staff
  • Working knowledge of planning and scheduling with the ability to deliver in tight time frames
  • Demonstrated background experience with Hitachi mobile equipment will be highly regarded
  • Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships
  • Safety focus and abide by site safety processes
