About the Role

Reporting to the Field Service / Mining Builds Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, execution and quality assurance of all mining equipment assemblies—ensuring build targets, safety expectations and customer requirements are met.

You’ll lead a team of tradespeople while coordinating parts, tooling, subcontractors and service administration to ensure machines are assembled to specification, on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule labour, parts, tooling and job packages for all onsite assemblies
  • Supervise technicians, apprentices and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work
  • Ensure all assemblies are completed within target build times and delivery deadlines
  • Monitor labour recovery, job costing, WIP and build progress
  • Complete all service paperwork accurately to support correct invoicing
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety conversations and hazard reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma and HCA QA systems
  • Maintain excellent customer communication and professional service standards
  • Provide coaching, training and performance guidance to service personnel

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Trade qualification: Diesel Fitter / HD Mechanic / Mobile Plant Technician
  • Strong technical background in mining or construction machinery
  • Experience supervising or leading a team of trades personnel
  • Strong understanding of labour recovery, WIP management and job costing
  • Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and problem‑solve
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office + service systems)

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with Hitachi or other OEM mining equipment
  • Familiarity with AMT, ConSite, D365 or similar systems
  • OH&S Supervisor training or project management exposure
  • Logistics or freight coordination experience
