The Opportunity

With ongoing growth in our Perth Mining Assembly department, we are seeking a quality‑focused Fitter to join our Forrestdale team on a 7/7 roster. This hands-on position is responsible for mining equipment assembly of new mining machines within a supportive, safety‑first environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assemble a range of Hitachi mining equipment
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on new and used equipment
  • Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork and reports
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with HCA standards

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold Australian (or Australian‑recognised) trade qualifications in Mobile Plant or Heavy Diesel
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the HCA Safety Culture—safety is always the top priority
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
  • High Risk Work licences (e.g., forklift, dogging, working at heights) are desirable
