The Opportunity

Hitachi is actively seeking a quality-focused individual to join the team in the position of Rebuilds Leading Hand for our new, state of the art Forrestdale site. Reporting to the Rebuilds Co-ordinator you will be responsible for planning, organising and leading the EH500 rebuilds operations to meet customer requirements. This role is offered on a 7/7 , Perth based roster.

As a key member of the team you will also be responsible for:

  • Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources
  • Be responsible for the day to day activities of workshop personnel and ensure labour is used most effectively
  • Liaise with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty
  • Ensure all output conforms to strict quality guidelines and processes
  • Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the department

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Leadership skills and the experience and ability to get the team to work cohesively
  • Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles
  • Experience in the maintenance of mining equipment (Hitachi exposure would be a distinct advantage)
  • Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High-Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded
