The Opportunity

Based in Forrestdale and reporting to the National HR Manager, this pivotal HR Advisor role will see you as a key strategic partner to leaders across the Western region. Your mission is to deliver high impact, business-aligned HR advisory services that enhance leadership capability, drive organisational culture, and embed diversity, equity, and inclusion across the workforce.

The HR Advisor will partner with senior leaders to shape and execute people strategies that accelerate business success, fuel engagement, and guarantee full compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Your Role: HR Advisory & Business Partnership

  • Trusted Business Partner: Collaborate with leaders to shape and execute the HR and people strategy aligned to business objectives. Provide expert advice on performance management, employee engagement, retention, and change management initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Lead confidential investigations, advise on industrial relations, manage grievances, and ensure legal compliance (Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, Awards).
  • Culture, Engagement & DEI: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Partner with leadership to foster a positive, values driven workplace culture that supports employee retention and engagement.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure inclusive hiring practices, manage onboarding processes, and support recruitment campaigns like apprenticeships.
  • WHS & Payroll Support: Assist safety teams and manage payroll accuracy aligned with industrial relations policies, ensuring a smooth employee experience.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Management, or a related business discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted HR Advisor and strategic Business Partner within a multi-site and multi-stakeholder environment, with comprehensive exposure across the employment lifecycle. Experience in the resources sector will be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to work independently while actively collaborating with the broader National HR team to deliver aligned, business-focused HR solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong capability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with business leaders, influencing decision-making and driving positive people outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act (FWA), Enterprise Agreements, and company policies, with the ability to translate these into practical, compliant advice and solutions.
  • Familiarity with mining / FIFO rosters and employment conditions is desirable.
  • Flexibility to undertake local travel as required to support business and stakeholder needs.
