The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and technically minded leader to join the Somerton team as a Branch Coordinator – Parts & Service. In this role you will plan, lead & manage all aspects of the Service and Parts operations within the branch to meet customer expectations, whilst remaining in line with expense & budget allocation.

Reporting to the Victorian State Manager, you will also:

  • Supervising, training, mentoring and performance management of branch parts, workshop and field service teams
  • Maintain compliance with WHS, Environmental and QA policies.
  • Ensure and drive a safe workplace for all branch staff and visitors
  • Working in conjunction with the State Parts and Service Managers - prepare and manage the branch forecasts, expenses, objectives and targets
  • Provide ongoing communication with customers to ensure the best quality service is received
  • Supervise invoicing of work orders and service warranty claim processing

This position is best suited to someone who is determined to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively to meet and exceed business objectives. You will enjoy and be experienced in providing holistic customer service solutions from an operational standpoint.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Experience in parts and service operations with the ability to engage a team of 15 dedicated staff to achieve business objectives
  • A commitment to enhancing relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Field Service Scheduling/Coordination experience is an advantage.
  • A developed understanding of the heavy equipment / construction industry (relevant trade qualifications, preferably mobile plant/HD diesel highly regarded)
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with strong critical thinking skills
