Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

The Opportunity

Our Launceston branch is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Manager to manage branch administration and site services. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will lead day-to-day administrative operations, ensure compliance with company processes, and support key financial and site-based activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage branch administration operations to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency and cost control
  • Lead the Administration team, ensuring high performance, development, and alignment to branch objectives
  • Monitor Administration Department budgets, track expenditure and work with department managers to address variances
  • Coordinate branch inductions, on-boarding activities, training bookings and maintenance of competency records
  • Manage receivables and payables including customer debt follow-up, cash handling, banking, petty cash and account maintenance
  • Support branch auditing, QA processes and ensure compliance with corporate standards
  • Ensure safety and risk management controls are in place, including monthly inspections, observations, toolbox talks and contractor compliance
  • Maintain branch appearance, filing systems, archive processes and support internal and customer events

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven management and leadership experience leading a small team within administration or a similar environment
  • Strong organisational ability and demonstrated administrative experience
  • High attention to detail with strong financial awareness and budgeting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and hands-on approach
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to manage multiple systems and processes
