Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth in our Remanufacturing (Component Rebuild) division, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Workshop Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will overhaul a variety of major mining equipment components to OEM specifications, delivering high-quality results in a professional and timely manner.

Based at our Forrestdale branch, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing major component overhauls across a wide range of equipment
  • Completing all tasks safely and in accordance with company procedures
  • Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork and reports
  • Maintaining a clean, organised workspace aligned with our 5S standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc.) – highly regarded
  • A commitment to safety with a solid understanding of WHS principles
  • Good communication skills and a strong focus on delivering OEM-quality work
