The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Remanufacturing team based in Wacol.

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting our Fitters with the remanufacturing of key components across the Hitachi product range. You'll have access to OEM training, employee benefits, and ongoing opportunities to expand your skills and build your career.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pressure washing machine components
  • Operating overhead cranes
  • Operating forklifts
  • Assisting Tradespeople with the disassembly of components in line with established procedures when required
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and preparing units for dispatch
  • Assisting with stores control, including the receipt and dispatch of Reman items
  • Soda blasting a range of machine components
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

  • Be mechanically minded with a strong willingness to learn
  • Have the ability to identify basic product quality issues and defects
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be flexible to work varying hours, shifts, and overtime when required
  • Hold a Forklift Licence, Dogging Ticket, and/or previous blasting experience (highly regarded)
