Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. 

The Opportunity

Our Launceston branch is on the lookout for enthusiastic Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide end-to-end administration support for the Service team.

Reporting to the Service Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Opening & closing of service jobs
  • Processing of purchase orders and invoices
  • Communication with internal and external customers regarding works
  • Data processing for the Service department
  • Completion of service paperwork
  • Payroll support and processing as required (timesheets & Kronos)
  • Arranging site inductions, training and maintaining records
  • Organising test and tag requirements as well as managing the recalibration of tooling and equipment
  • Maintaining detailed registers and reports for audit and compliance purposes
  • Other general service administrative duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative or Service Advisor role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Mechanical aptitude is a bonus
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
