The Opportunity
Due to growth in our Western Region, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Perth team. In this role, you will be part of and based out of our Perth Branch, however the majority of your role will see you working between multiple sites in the Gold Fields and Pilbara regions you will predominantly be supporting clients Truck fleet, completing electrical installations, configuration, pre-deployment testing on newly delivered mining equipment, electrical troubleshooting services and maintenance, component installations and repairs on Hitachi’s EH mining trucks
this permanent role will allow you access to OEM training while you build a long-term career with a global company.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostic evaluation and HV electrical maintenance on Hitachi Electric Mining Trucks
- Liaising with technical support staff to achieve the most efficient outcomes and assist in product improvements
- Completion and submission of all relevant documentation and reporting paperwork
- Maintaining good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments
- Identification of continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian licenced High Voltage Electrical qualification
- Current driver's license
- Demonstrated experience with Electric Drive Mining Equipment
- Previous Mine site exposure would be beneficial
- Inherent requirement to attend multiple sites
- Understand the importance of Workplace Health & Safety and be proactive in reducing hazards
- Have excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and technical skills
- Ability to work both in a team and autonomously
