About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Key Account Manager – Mining Technology to join our dynamic Mining Technology team in Brisbane. Reporting to the National Technology Solutions Manager, this role is responsible for:
- Identifying and maximising business development and sales opportunities
- Managing and growing strategic accounts within the mining and mining‑services sector
- Working closely with technical specialists to develop solution‑driven technology offerings
- Driving superior customer service, market engagement, and value creation
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage and grow long‑term relationships with key mining customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for Wenco and Hitachi digital mining solutions.
- Lead commercial proposals, quotations, tenders, and pricing discussions.
- Deliver regular account planning, forecasting, and activity reporting.
- Undertake competitor analysis, market reviews, and strategic growth planning.
Technology Leadership & Customer Success
- Collaborate with internal technical teams during scoping, deployment, and optimisation.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and site visits.
- Support system utilisation and value realisation for customers.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with engineering, support, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end solution excellence.
- Engage with Wenco International regarding product updates and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Mining Technology division.
About You
- Experience in Business Development or Account Management within mining, mining services, or industrial technology
- Proven success in selling technically complex hardware/software solutions
- Strong background in mining technology and operational digital systems
- Experience with Wenco, Modular, Hexagon, Caterpillar MineStar, or similar systems (highly desirable)
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C‑Suite
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, mining, technology, business, or similar (preferred)
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and KPI‑driven
