Parramatta, Sydney | Senior Leadership Role

Lead a once-in-a-generation national rebrand. Shape the future of an iconic global brand.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Oceania (HCMO) is the holding company for Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia and CablePrice New Zealand. We operate across Australia and New Zealand, delivering world-class machinery, solutions, and support to the Construction and Mining industries.

We are entering a defining phase for the organisation and are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Head of Marketing (AU/NZ) to lead a major, organisation-wide rebrand and elevate our market presence across the region.

This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for marketing strategy, brand governance, team performance, and delivery standards. It is ideally suited to an experienced senior marketing leader, or a highly capable Marketing Manager ready to step into executive-level responsibility, who is motivated by transformation, scale, and impact.

About the Role

You will lead all marketing activity across Australia and New Zealand, spanning brand, digital, campaigns, content, internal communications, and national events.

Your first and most critical priority will be delivering a large-scale rebrand, ensuring disciplined, consistent rollout across every customer touchpoint, business unit, and dealer network.

Beyond the rebrand, the role focuses on enabling sustained brand and sales growth. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, Operations, HR, and executive leadership to ensure marketing strategies are commercially aligned, practical, and effectively executed.

As the functional leader, you are accountable for setting clear expectations, establishing measurable objectives, and actively managing the performance and capability of the marketing team.

What You’ll Lead

  • End-to-end AU/NZ brand transformation and rollout
  • Development and execution of the annual marketing strategy and market positioning
  • National campaigns across Construction, Mining, and Aftersales
  • Digital performance including website, SEO, UX, analytics, and social media
  • National events, launches, and corporate communications
  • Post-rebrand governance and advisory support to business units
  • Leadership, development, and performance management of a multi-disciplinary marketing team
  • Establishment of clear priorities, KPIs, and delivery standards across the function
  • Identification and resolution of capability gaps and performance issues
  • Management of agency partners to agreed commercial and delivery outcomes
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, HR, Operations, and global teams

What You Bring

  • Essential: Proven experience leading a major rebrand within a large or complex organisation
  • Senior marketing leadership experience, ideally in B2B, industrial, machinery, automotive, or related sectors
  • Strong capability across brand strategy, digital marketing, and integrated campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and managing team performance, including addressing underperformance when required
  • Ability to influence at executive level and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and competing priorities at scale

Why This Role Will Appeal to You

  • Lead one of the most significant brand transformations in the sector
  • High visibility and direct engagement with executive and global leadership
  • Opportunity to modernise brand and digital experiences across AU/NZ
  • Autonomy to shape strategy, uplift capability, and build a high-performing team
  • Be part of a respected global organisation with strong local heritage

If you are ready to lead a national rebrand and step into a highly visible, career-defining leadership role, we’d love to hear from you.
