The Opportunity

With strong growth in our mining operations, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Site Support Technician to join the team. This site based role would be scheduled on a FIFO roster working both day and night shifts on a 2 & 1 roster. Reporting to the Site Support Supervisor, main responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality and timely customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of equipment
  • Attending to onsite site breakdowns and undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work
  • Maintaining the important link between the customer and the company, ensuring a high level of technical product support
  • Ensuring the HCA Safety Culture is embraced and displayed and driven from within

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant diesel or plant mechanic trade qualifications with experience in the maintenance of mining equipment
  • A strong safety focus with an understanding and ability to abide by site safety processes at all times
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be an advantage
  • Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships
  • Computer literacy skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • To be versatile, hands on and able to perform other related duties as required
  • Hold High Risk Licences – EWP – WAH – Dogging & Rigging
