An exciting opportunity exist to join Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia's Townsville branch as a Field Service Fitter.
This permanent full-time role offers the best of both worlds, combining field service and workshop-based responsibilities, supporting a diverse range of civil construction equipment across the Townsville region.

The Opportunity
Based from our Townsville branch, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Hitachi construction equipment, both in the field and within the workshop.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Recognised trade qualification Cert III in Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on civil construction or earthmoving equipment
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including lung function testing
Highly regarded:
- OEM equipment experience
- Dual trade qualifications (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Experience in field service environments
