The Opportunity
A new opportunity has been created for a trade qualified Leading Hand to join our team based at Murrin Murrin. Working a day shift on an 8/6 FIFO roster, this permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. In this role you will:
- Lead a team of Site Technicians to meet, deliver and exceed service expectations
- Drive efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines whilst ensuring employees comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety first culture is a consistent behaviour within the department
- Liaise with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostic, maintenance and repairs as a valued team member
- Perform maintenance servicing and repairs on a wide range of quality Hitachi mining equipment
- Undertake fault finding and diagnostic work
- Attend to onsite breakdowns
To be successful in this role you will:
- Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
- Have previous experience leading a team to achieve and exceed set goals
- Demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge within a mine site is essential
- Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualifications
- Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships
- Have the ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
- Excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous
