The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Brisbane Service team as a Field Service Fitter based out of our Wacol branch. 

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing diagnostics, repair and maintenance services to our customer’s equipment in the field. This role is perfect for someone focused on quality service, proactive problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose, service and repair Hitachi construction and earthmoving equipment in the field
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customer base
  • Complete and submit service reports and documentation in a timely manner
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Hitachi’s safety and quality standards

About You

  • Relevant trade qualification (Mobile Plant / Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent)
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues
  • OEM or earthmoving equipment experience is highly regarded
  • A customer-first mindset with strong communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
