The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a qualified and motivated Auto Electrician based in Perth to support operations across multiple sites as required. This role offers a flexible, ad-hoc roster, ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, adaptability and working in diverse environments.

About the Role:

  • Performing diagnostic evaluations and electrical maintenance services on a broad range of Hitachi construction and mining machinery
  • Providing labour support across multiple regional Mine site’s & Perth metro surrounding sites
  • Liaising with technical support staff to achieve efficient outcomes and assist in ongoing product improvements
  • Completing and submitting all required documentation and service reporting paperwork
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with customers, peers and internal departments
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility
  • Field and/or workshop-based work depending on operational requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Australian accredited Auto Electrical trade qualification
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Air-con handlers licence
  • Demonstrated experience working with mobile plant and heavy mining equipment
  • Ability and willingness to attend multiple sites as required
  • Strong understanding of mining equipment maintenance practices
  • A proactive approach to Workplace Health & Safety and hazard reduction
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and technical skills
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
