The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is looking for qualified Light Vehicle, Truck and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics who are ready to progress their careers into the heavy equipment and mining industry.

Based at our Forrestdale branch, you’ll join our growing Remanufacturing (Component Rebuild) team, where you’ll develop your skills through hands-on experience and OEM-led training, working on major mining equipment components to Hitachi standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild major mining equipment components
  • Work safely and efficiently to OEM specifications
  • Complete required documentation and maintain 5S workshop standards
  • Develop your heavy equipment and component rebuild skills

What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical trade qualification – Light Vehicle, Truck, Heavy Vehicle, Fitter Machinist or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Mining/heavy equipment experience is highly regarded but not essential

Flexible Rosters

Choose the roster that suits your lifestyle:

  • 5/2 – Monday to Friday
  • 4/4/4/2 – Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday
