The Opportunity

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Remanufacturing team based in Wacol. In this position, you will play a crucial role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of key components across the Hitachi product range. This role will give you access to OEM training, benefits, and an opportunity to build on existing skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pressure wash machine components
  • Overhead Crane operation
  • Forklift operation
  • Assist Tradesmen to disassemble components in line with procedures when required
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatch
  • Assist in store control including receiving and dispatch of Reman items
  • Soda Blast a range of machine components
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
  • Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours/shifts and overtime when required
  • Forklift License, dogging ticket and blasting experience are highly regarded
