The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Spray Painter /Trades Assistant to join our Remanufacturing team in Forrestdale. Working alongside skilled technicians, you'll support the remanufacture of major machine components to OEM standards while developing your skills through ongoing training and career development with a global industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint remanufactured components and accessories in line with manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain painting sundries and equipment.
• Assist Tradesmen to disassemble components in line with procedures, when required.
• Pressure was and Blast a range of machine components, when required.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatch. when required.
• Assist in store control including receiving and dispatch of Reman items. when required.
• Overhead Crane operation
• Forklift operation
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

About You

• A strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Painting and blasting experience (Desirable but not mandatory)
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy industry, earthmoving, automotive, manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain, for the right candidates Hitachi will assist in obtaining qualifications and training).
• Rigging/dogging  (or willingness to obtain, for the right candidates Hitachi will assist in obtaining qualifications and training).
