The Opportunity

With strong growth in our Northern QLD operations, our Toowoomba branch has an opportunity for a Field Service Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join the Hitachi team.

This is a permanent full-time position on a 7/7-day shift roster which will see you focus on all aspects of Heavy Diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed, and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
• Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist or Heavy Diesel trade qualifications looking to learn OEM machinery
• Ability to be technical and mechanically experience / aptitude
• Having experienced within a similar role or in a Field Service environment would be highly advantageous
• Have both mining and Civil Equipment experience
• We willing to travel and stay away from home for periods of time.
• Being a self-starter, willing to work alone in remote locations
