The Opportunity
In this role, your key focus will be to provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to our Hitachi earthmoving equipment and associated product lines, including major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Carrying out high quality maintenance, repair work and routine servicing to our premium equipment in the field
• Completion of inspection reports and other essential paperwork as required
• Providing quality customer service at all times
• Minimising machine downtime and maximising productivity
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
• Relevant trade qualification – Heavy Diesel mechanics
• Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Safety Commitment – Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi’s number one priority
• Demonstrated experience in servicing and/or repairing of earthmoving equipment
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus
• Ability to navigate technical issues in repair and maintenance services
• Self-motivated and team orientated
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
• Manual drivers licence – essential
