The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Service team as a Field Service Fitter based out of our Cavan branch. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing diagnostics, repair and maintenance services to our customer’s equipment in the field.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance
  • Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
  • Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues
  • OEM or earthmoving equipment experience is highly regarded
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
