The Opportunity
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a Boiler maker to join our Perth based rebuilds team on a 7/7 roster, working on a major EH5000 rigid haul truck rebuild project at our Forrestdale workshop.
Reporting to the Rebuilds Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing fabrication and repair tasks to a variety of earthmoving equipment
- Design and fabrication of local options for earthmoving equipment
- Be able to interpret technical drawings
- Perform diagnostic evaluation of components and relevant systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Gouging structural cracks and re-welding - not essential
To be successful in this role you will:
- Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
- Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) trade qualifications
- Have previous experience working with construction, agricultural or mining equipment
- Previous working with sheet metal
- Be confined space trained and qualified - not essential.
- High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - preferred
