The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a Boiler maker to join our Perth based rebuilds team on a 7/7 roster, working on a major EH5000 rigid haul truck rebuild project at our Forrestdale workshop.

Reporting to the Rebuilds Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing fabrication and repair tasks to a variety of earthmoving equipment
  • Design and fabrication of local options for earthmoving equipment
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation of components and relevant systems
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Gouging structural cracks and re-welding - not essential

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) trade qualifications
  • Have previous experience working with construction, agricultural or mining equipment
  • Previous working with sheet metal
  • Be confined space trained and qualified - not essential.
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - preferred
