The Opportunity

Hitachi is seeking a Technical Trainer - HV Electrical to join our national training team, delivering high-quality technical training to both employees and customers across Australia. Based out of our Wacol branch, this is a unique opportunity to step off the tools while remaining closely connected to the latest technology, equipment, and industry best practice.

Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective technical training programs, maintaining training materials, and supporting capability development initiatives across the business. This role involves regular travel and close collaboration with branches, technical experts, and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering technical training and assessments to employees and customers
  • Identifying training needs and partnering with stakeholders on capability solutions
  • Developing and maintaining training resources and training documentation
  • Tracking, reporting, and managing training records
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the training function
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and best-practice maintenance standards
  • Regular travel to branches and customer sites to facilitate training delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A HV Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Proven hands-on experience within the mining and/or construction equipment industry
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others
  • The ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and technical audiences
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded but not essential)
