The Opportunity

Our Brisbane Branch has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Services Specialist to join our dynamic Fleet Management System (FMS) team. Working with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the delivery and installation of products to customers and be a key player within our operations team, working with a multi-functional team of hardware and software support professionals.

The role

  • Provide high quality technical support to Wenco International Mining’s customers. 
  • Work with a cross-function team of hardware and software support professionals to deploy and support Wenco’s suite of products
  • Client Record/document management
  • Project Management Assistance throughout new projects
  • Plan and practice for system implementation and upgrade projects
  • Perform implementation and upgrades
  • Liaise & coordinate resources from mine sites/office

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • SQL experienceessential
  • Proven skills of maintaining technology – Wenco technology would be advantageous
  • Experience within the Mining industry with exposure to Machine Guidance systems
  • The ability to install and support complex IT systems in the field
  • Hands-on hardware and software system level troubleshooting
  • An understanding of wireless and radio propagation principles
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • An ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
  • Willing to learn new technologies and new ways of approaching projects
  • Frequent travel to remote mine sites will be required
