The Opportunity

Ready to take ownership of your own territory and represent one of the most recognised brands in the industry?

Based from our Dandenong branch, we're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Light Equipment Sales Representative to drive sales growth across Melbourne's Eastern Metro region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Hitachi's industry-leading range of compact and light construction equipment. You'll inherit an established customer base while actively developing new business opportunities throughout your territory.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and growing relationships with existing customers across Melbourne Metro East
• Identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and customer visits
• Conducting equipment demonstrations and providing tailored solutions to customers
• Building long-term partnerships through exceptional service and support
• Maintaining a strong sales pipeline and accurately updating opportunities within CRM systems
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
• Achieving sales targets and contributing to the growth of the Victorian business
• Representing the Hitachi brand at industry events, trade shows and customer functions

About You

You are a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

You will ideally have:

• Sales experience within construction equipment, earthmoving, machinery, transport, agricultural equipment, industrial products or a related industry
• Strong business development skills with the ability to generate and convert new opportunities
• A customer-first mindset and passion for delivering exceptional service
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• The motivation and drive to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Sound commercial acumen and confidence using CRM systems
• The ability to work autonomously and manage your own territory
• A current and valid driver's licence

Previous experience selling machinery, equipment or capital products will be highly regarded, however individuals with a strong sales background and a genuine interest in the industry are encouraged to apply.
