The Opportunity
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Master Data Specialist to join our Parts team based in Parramatta, NSW. Reporting to the Parts Planning & Master Data Manager, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and governance of product, vendor and pricing data across our ERP systems, supporting the smooth operation of our national Parts business.
About the Role
- Create, update and maintain product, vendor and pricing master data within Microsoft Dynamics and Servigistics
- Manage part lifecycle activities including supersessions, obsolescence and product holds
- Monitor data quality, perform validations and maintenance to resolve data discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and business processes
- Collaborate with Parts, Procurement, Engineering and Technical teams to maintain accurate master data
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Parts, Procurement, Engineering, Technical, and other business units to maintain accurate and reliable master data.
- Investigate and resolve master data support requests
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, workflows and system efficiencies
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP system
- Previous experience in Master Data, Procurement, Inventory or the Parts industry
- Ability to understand the data and provide insights into key business drivers to enable decision support
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and SQL knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining data accuracy
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
