The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated, trade-qualified Mechanic to join our New Builds Team based at our Wacol branch.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Truck, Agricultural, or Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to develop their skills with a globally recognised OEM.

Working within our New Builds Department, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting out, commissioning, and preparing brand-new Hitachi and Bell equipment to customer specifications before delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fit, and commission new Hitachi and Bell equipment
  • Install customer-specific attachments, options, and accessories
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections and functional testing
  • Perform quality checks to ensure equipment meets OEM and customer standards
  • Accurately complete build documentation, inspection reports, and compliance records
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

About You

  • Trade qualified mechanic (Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Agricultural, Light Vehicle or equivalent)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for quality workmanship
  • Interested in assembly, commissioning, and preparation of new equipment
  • Committed to safety and working collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and build specifications
  • Forklift and/or Heavy Rigid licences are advantageous but not essential
  • Previous earthmoving or construction equipment experience is beneficial but not required
