Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. 

The Opportunity

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced and driven Field Service Supervisor to join our Revesby branch Service team. The key focus of this role is to provide technical guidance and leadership to our field service technicians in the Sydney region.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of work scopes, costing, scheduling and project planning from execution to completion
  • Ensure our service employees comply with all WHS responsibilities, and that above all, a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the team
  • Mentor, guide and support the team to improve performance and efficiencies through training, performance appraisals and performance management
  • Ensuring all reporting needs and administrative functions required by the company and the customer are completed promptly and regularly
  • Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources in line with customer requirements and agreed budgets
  • Supervise the accuracy and timeliness of time sheets and sub-contractor documentation to enable prompt job costing
  • Identification of continuous improvements within your area of responsibility

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory, project management or technical role
  • Relevant Trade Certificate - Mobile Plant Mechanic (HD Diesel Fitter - Earthmoving/Heavy Transport) coupled with extensive experience and knowledge in repairing, servicing and maintaining mobile plant equipment
  • Intermediate computer skills, ability to analyse technical data and reports 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • A Safety-First leadership style
  • Strong ability to adapting yourself to different teams, rosters, environments and workloads
  • Ensure that you provide 100% customer satisfaction with both internal and external stakeholders, branches & suppliers within the HCA family
  • Previous OEM experience highly advantageous but not essential
