Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

The Opportunity

Due to strong growth in our Perth Remanufacturing operations, we are seeking an experienced and mechanically minded HV Electrical Fitter to join our team.

Shift Times: Monday - Friday: 6am - 2pm / 4 day roster available

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assembling, disassembling, and testing Hitachi haul truck electrical components including heavy duty motors, alternators and grid boxes.
  • Completing and submitting all required documentation and reports
  • Performing diagnostic evaluations and fault analysis on quality earthmoving equipment
  • Working in strict accordance with quality, safety, and procedural standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrical Fitting / HV Electrical) and a current driver’s licence
  • High-level understanding of earthmoving equipment and high-voltage electrical fault finding and diagnosis
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • The initiative and organisational skills to plan work effectively and deliver quality outcomes in a high-pressure environment
  • A commitment to delivering Hitachi’s promise of Total Customer Satisfaction

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Dogging, and Forklift licences
