Hitachi Construction Machinery Oceania (HCMO) is part of the global Hitachi Group, delivering industry-leading machinery solutions to the Construction, Mining industries across Australia and New Zealand.

We're seeking an experienced Compliance & Risk Advisor to support and strengthen our enterprise compliance and risk management frameworks across the Oceania region. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, influence business decisions, and contribute to a respected global organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager – People & Governance, you'll play a key role in supporting compliance, enterprise risk management and corporate governance across Australia and New Zealand.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing our Compliance Framework
  • Managing the Corporate Risk Register and Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Monitoring regulatory and legislative changes across Australia and New Zealand
  • Developing and reviewing corporate policies and procedures
  • Supporting compliance investigations and whistleblower matters
  • Delivering compliance training and awareness programs
  • Preparing reports for senior leadership and our global parent company
  • Supporting Business Continuity and enterprise risk initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in Compliance, Governance or Enterprise Risk Management
  • Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience developing policies, procedures and risk registers
  • Tertiary qualifications in Governance, Risk Management, Business, Law or a related discipline

Experience within construction, manufacturing, mining or heavy industry will be highly regarded.
