About Us
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a solid network of branches nationally, we service many customers, including mining, construction, quarry and forestry, with quality equipment and after-sales support.
The role
A new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual has become available to join us in the position of Yards Person. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the yard and is interested in operating within a varied work environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning the activities of the yard and facilitating the movement of machinery and equipment when required
- Monitor and control waste and recycling activities
- Ensure that the general appearance of the whole site and ensure grounds are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy state
- Assisting in other site-related duties as required
To be successful, you will need:
- A current Forklift Licence
- Plant load/unload experience
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar position - construction and earthmoving industry exposure would be highly regarded
- A safety focus - ensure the safety of yourself and your peers
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Self-motivation with a focus on customer service
