The Opportunity

Our Mackay branch has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop based Fitter to join the Hitachi team.

This is a permanent full-time position which will see you focus on all aspects of Heavy Diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting.

About You:

  • Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed, and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel trade qualifications or Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to move into mining and construction machinery industry or you have just completed mobile plant apprenticeship and you are looking to learn OEM machinery
  • Ability to be technical and mechanically experience / aptitude

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications - Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Experience & Skillset - Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment - Hitachi equipment experiences highly regarded
  •  Analytical thinking - Ability to navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
