The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated, trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to bring their skills to our workshop team. Based in the Cavan branch, this role will see you prepare new Hitachi and Bell products to customer specifications as well as provide quality diagnostics and maintenance services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or specified times targeting improved job efficiency.
  • Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
  • Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle/Truck Mechanics are encouraged to apply
  • Earthmoving equipment experience highly regarded
  • A commitment to safety and strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Heavy Rigid and Forklift licence preferred but not essential
