The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Remanufacturing team in Forrestdale. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Fitters with the remanufacturing of critical components across the Hitachi product range. This position offers access to OEM training, great employee benefits, and the opportunity to further develop and enhance your existing skill set.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pressure wash machine components
- Overhead Crane operation
- Forklift operation
- Assist Tradesmen to disassemble components in line with procedures when required
- Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatch
- Assist in store control including receiving and dispatch of Reman items
- Soda Blast a range of machine components
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
- Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
- Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours/shifts and overtime when required
- Forklift License, dogging ticket and blasting experience are highly regarded
