The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Inclusion & Engagement Partner to join our Brisbane based HR team and play a pivotal role in building a high‑performing, inclusive and values‑led culture across our national organisation. Reporting to the National HR Manager, this role blends strategy, influence and hands‑on delivery to strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), elevate employee engagement, and enhance the employee experience across the employment lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a trusted Inclusion & Engagement Partner, you will lead and support initiatives that bring our culture and values to life, which include:
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Support the design and delivery of our DEI strategy.
- Lead and facilitate our DEI Employee and Executive Committees to drive initiatives and accountability.
- Coordinate programs and communications for cultural awareness and inclusion events.
- Monitor DEI metrics and provide insights to leaders.
- Partner with L&D to deliver DEI learning initiatives.
- Support WGEA reporting and communication.
Employee Engagement
- Lead engagement surveys, pulse checks and feedback channels.
- Analyse engagement data to identify themes, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with leaders to develop and track action plans.
- Monitor key people metrics including turnover, absenteeism and sentiment.
- Support national engagement activities and continuous improvement.
Culture Development
- Embed organisational values and behaviours across the business.
- Design initiatives that strengthen connection, collaboration and inclusion.
- Facilitate workshops that help leaders translate values into everyday actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience across the employment lifecycle.
Recognition & Employee Experience
- Design and manage reward and recognition programs aligned to our values.
- Coordinate wellbeing, belonging and connection initiatives.
- Support company-wide engagement events and experience improvements.
Communication & Change Support
- Partner with internal communications, marketing and HR to support clear and engaging communication.
- Develop communication strategies that build trust and transparency.
- Equip leaders with tools and resources to communicate change effectively.
Community & External Engagement
- Build partnerships with community organisations and industry bodies.
- Lead community engagement programs that enhance our social impact.
- Support Indigenous engagement strategies and initiatives.
- Drive programs that attract, retain and develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
- Support cultural awareness, cultural safety and capability-building across the business.
About You
You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and enjoys building strong stakeholder and employee relationships. You’ll bring:
- Experience in organisational culture, DEI and/or HR generalist roles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in designing and delivering engagement or DEI initiatives.
- Ability to build relationships across diverse internal and external groups.
- High levels of motivation, initiative and professionalism.
- Proven experience in engaging external community relationships.
- Tertiary HR / Psychology / Communications qualifications or a related discipline.
Desirable:
- Heavy machinery industry experience is desirable i.e. Mining or Manufacturing.
- Experience in a multi-site environment.
- Exposure to community engagement or Indigenous engagement programs.
- Strong participation attitude to problem solving.
