An opportunity exists to join HCA as a Field Service Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our Gunnedah Branch. In this role, you will provide diagnostic, repairs, and maintenance services to multiple sites, shutdowns and customer fleets across customer Mining and Construction Projects. This role is perfect for someone focused on quality service, proactive problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Service Coordinator, your responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and upgrading Hitachi machinery
• Responding to breakdowns and conducting diagnostics
• Joining the build team to commission new equipment
• Completing and submitting required documentation
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers, peers, and departments

About you:

• Creative Problem Solver: Creative problem solver, improving efficiency, minimizing rework.
• Qualifications: Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Mechanics or equivalent.
• Experience & Skillset: Experienced diesel mechanics, OEM, excavator diagnostics expertise are a plus.
• Customer Focus: Customer-focused, effective planning, quality outcomes.
