About the Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team to manage the accounting duties relating to our newly created Oceania department. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing end to end activities for this department and also assisting in managing our Hitachi Construction Machinery’s activities when required. 

Your responsibilities will be

  • Take ownership in creating a framework and controls in conjunction with the Assistant Finance Manager for our Oceania department.
  • Prepare statutory reporting and assist our external auditors regarding their queries. 
  • You will be responsible in preparing group reports and consolidation
  • To prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • You will be involved in monthly financial (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss) analysis
  • Work with Assistant Finance Manager to identify and implement Business Process Improvements.
  • Posting month end journals, and actively participating in Budgeting and Forecasting activities. 


About You
 

To be successful for this position you would have previous experience in a similar role within a large corporate or a public practice environment, and have an excellent customer service skills. You would also have the following skills.

  • CPA/ CA Qualified with solid experience post qualifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, notably Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic / multi-priority environment.
